Cork board or poster board? What to buy for your vision board
Start with the base, because it decides how you'll attach things and whether you can swap pictures later. After that it's pictures, words and something to stick them on with, and half of that is probably in your junk drawer already.
Which board should you buy?
My own feng shui board is a printed Bagua poster that I stick cutouts and stickers onto. Prices below are approximate, from big US chains and Amazon, and they change with the brand and the week's sales.

Base
Foam Board
This is the classic option. When you are using a thin poster or foam board, you can even insert your finished artwork into a frame.
Corkboard
Eco-friendly and durable. You can reuse the same corkboard every year just by updating it with new images. To do this, you only need pins or buttons.
Acrylic Board
Durable, aesthetic and sturdy. Such a plexiglass board can be hung over your working desk to motivate you every day.
Wire Grid Board
Fits perfectly into a modern interior. You may need additional wooden clothespins, binder clips, and hemp cord to pin photos, postcards, and inspirational quotes.
Plain Notebook
Suitable for those who want to have a vision board ‘to go’ and protect their dreams from prying eyes. It requires the least cost, and preparation takes very little time.

Magazine clippings or printouts should accurately describe your wishes, every detail counts. You can print ready-made images or create your own drawings.

It's best to use a non-toxic glue stick with good adhesion to fix the photos and pictures on your poster.
Push Pins
If you decide to use a cork board, you'll definitely need push pins. You can use the pins to attach photos, polaroids, and drawings to the board.
Adhesive Tape
Adhesive tape comes in handy if you’re using an acrylic board or metal grid. It’s recommended to use double-sided tape for inconspicuous bonding.
Markers and Highlighters
For your own words and quotes on the board: markers, highlighters and fine-tip pens.
Scissors
No matter which base you’re choosing for your vision board, you'll probably need scissors. You can use them to neatly cut out any images you want.
Rulers
You may need a ruler to make your paper vision board. Use a ruler to divide your dream board into sectors (e.g life areas according to feng shui).
Where to buy it
Dollar Tree is the cheapest place for poster board and foam board, and it usually has glue sticks and stickers too. Michaels has poster board in every color, washi tape, sticker books and ready-made frames, and often has coupons. Target is an easy stop for cork boards, poster frames and basic school supplies. Wire grid panels and bulk packs of mini clips are easiest to find on Amazon, in more sizes than you'll see in stores.
